Job DescriptionOBGYN Physician opportunity in Surprise, AZWe are seeking an OBGYN Physician to join our growing team of Physicians providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological health care services through the identification, management and/or referral of the health problems and maintenance of women’s health by means of obstetrical care, gynecological care, preventive care, and health promotion.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESReport to the Regional Medical DirectorProvide accessible and available OB/GYN medical and surgical services to patients for which the Provider is credentialed and privilegedEducation of and effective communication with those served concerning the diagnosis and treatment of their medical conditions, appropriate preventive measures, and use of the health care systemTreatment that is consistent with clinical impressions and working diagnosesAppropriate, accurate and complete paper/electronic medical record entries, in a timely mannerAdequate and appropriate transfer of information for continuity of careEvaluate patients in a timely, courteous, and professional mannerComplete all required documentation for billing of services providedAssume the role and duties of other OB/GYN clinical personnel, as necessaryRotate call for emergencies in the evening, and on weekends and holidays as assignedAttend continuing medical education (CME) programs (up to 40 CME hours per year) and provide a copy of the course completion certificate to the Medical Staff Services Department. Maintain credentialing and privileging in good standingMinimum surgical expectations include:OB patients: Cesarean sections, Cesarean hysterectomy, Suction Dilation and Curettage for spontaneous/missed abortions and retained product of conceptions, Cervical cerclage (option), External version (option)GYN patients: Laparoscopic tubal ligation, Laparoscopic treatment of ectopic pregnancy, Hysteroscopy with D&C, Total abdominal hysterectomy, Vaginal hysterectomy (option), Suction Dilation and Curettage for heavy emergency bleeding, Colposcopy, Contraceptive insertion (e.g., IUD, Nexplanon), LAVH (option), Laparoscopic hysterectomy (option), Anterior and posterior repair (option), Vaginal sling (option), Endometrial ablation, any methods (option)ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Graduate of an accredited medical school programCompletion of an accredited United States Obstetrical/Gynecological Residency programBoard certified or board eligibleValid Arizona medical licenseValid DEA certificateDemonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniquesAbility to meet and deal effectively with clients, associates and the general publicFluency in basic business English, spelling, and punctuation skillsBasic computer efficiencyCommitment to our mission, vision, and valuesCompetency in dealing with people of various cultures and backgroundsValid AZ driver’s licenseCertification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locationsNONESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Three (3) years of experience in community healthBilingual English/Spanish, preferredPrior experience using Electronic Health Records (EMR’s)Job# KSAZOBGYN2335For further details about this opportunity, please send your CV to Kim Sodt at or reach out by phone/text at .To book a call to discuss, visit kimsodt/careers
