Account ManagerPremier Metal | Rochester, NYPosition OverviewPremier Metal is seeking an Account Manager to support inbound sales activity, strengthen customer relationships, and help ensure smooth service execution across our Rochester operations. This role works closely with dispatch, operations, and leadership to support both industrial and retail customers.The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days are the same.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle inbound sales inquiries from industrial and retail customersRespond to pricing requests, service questions, and general account needsCollaborate closely with dispatch and operations to:Schedule serviceCoordinate pickups and deliveriesResolve day-to-day customer issuesSupport existing customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-upTrack customer activity, service needs, and basic account informationAssist with onboarding new customers and supporting account transitionsManage Premier Metal's loyalty program and retail customer strategy, including:Customer communication and engagementSupporting retail pricing initiatives and promotionsCross-train in multiple areas of the business to gain a broad understanding of operationsServe as operational backup as needed to support coverage and continuityWhat We're Looking ForStrong communication and people skillsComfortable working with industrial and blue-collar customersOrganized, responsive, and detail-orientedAble to juggle multiple priorities and adjust as needs changeWilling to learn different parts of the business and step in where neededTeam-oriented mindset with a practical, problem-solving approachExperience & Qualifications2+ years in inside sales, customer service, logistics, or account supportIndustrial, recycling, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferredComfortable using phones, email, and basic computer systemsCRM or order management experience a plusScrap or commodities experience helpful, but not requiredWhy Join Premier MetalEstablished, locally respected company with long-term customer relationshipsStable business with growth opportunitiesHands-on role with exposure to multiple parts of the operationOpportunity to grow responsibilities over timeMedical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance available after 60-day probationary period401K with company match2 weeks Paid time off, accrued1 week paid sick leave
