Job DescriptionLocation: Russellville, ALDepartment: Outpatient Surgery / OPShift: DaysPosition Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleThe Staff Pad has partnered with a hospital in Russellville, Alabama to hire a Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery. This role provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting. The RN will support patients through pre-operative, intra-procedural (as applicable), and post-operative phases while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the care team to ensure safe and efficient patient flow.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgical proceduresProvide post-operative care, including monitoring recovery and discharge readinessAdminister medications and treatments per physician and anesthesia ordersEducate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post-discharge careMonitor patient status and respond to changes in condition appropriatelyAssist with patient flow to ensure efficiency in the outpatient settingMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health recordCollaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team membersEnsure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standardsPrepare and maintain equipment and supplies for procedures as neededQualificationsActive RN license in the state of AlabamaPrevious nursing experience required (outpatient surgery, PACU, or acute care preferred)BLS required; ACLS preferredStrong assessment and critical-thinking skillsExcellent communication and patient education abilitiesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environmentScheduleFull-TimeDay Shift
