Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher serving grades 1-4 in a resource setting classroom. This full-time position will run from late August through mid-June, providing the chance to make a direct and meaningful impact on young learners in a supportive elementary school environment. Collaboration with an experienced team—including case managers, paraprofessionals, and behavior analysts—ensures well-rounded support for students and a highly collegial working environment.Position Overview and Desired Experience:State of New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification requiredProven background working as a Special Education Teacher, specifically with elementary students (grades 1-4)Experience with resource classroom models, supporting individualized learning plans, and implementing IEPsStrong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and related service providersAbility to foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere that meets diverse student needsComfortable utilizing a split caseload of approximately 15-20 studentsWillingness to coordinate with fellow case managers and participate in team planningFlexible attitude for occasional push-in support and working alongside 1:1 instructional paraprofessionalsKey Responsibilities:Deliver specialized academic instruction while adapting materials and strategies to student strengths and needsWork closely with case management team to provide high-quality services and meet all compliance requirementsTrack student progress, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate reporting and documentationEstablish positive communication channels with parents and guardiansPartner with classroom teachers, paras, and behavior analysts to ensure a seamless educational experienceThis contract role offers a unique chance to connect with students and shape their educational journey.
