As an Enterprise Business Representative, you will conduct outbound prospecting to find new prospective customers and expand current product usage within current customers, helping the sales organization achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to influence customer engagement strategies, learn from industry-leading sales practices, and contribute to shaping the approaches of our sales operations in a rapidly evolving market.This is a hybrid role that requires being in the San Francisco, CA or Bellevue , WA office 2 days per week.ResponsibilitiesIdentifies key prospects by assessing customer needs and delivering tailored value propositionsQualifies opportunities and contributes to account planning with sales representativesEngages with customers and partners to align on needs and desired outcomes with the GitHub platformAssesses market trends to uncover new opportunities for GitHub’s products and platformSupports and executes account strategies to meet business goalsExpands customer engagement by identifying new strategic contacts and departmentsBuilds strong customer relationships through clear communication and value articulationInterprets product usage and internal sales reporting to inform prospecting strategy, address customer questions, and achieve quotaDrives continuous improvement by analyzing KPIs, learning from past engagements, and collaborating with peers. Contributes to strategic projects that enhance process efficiency and business outcomes.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:1+ year(s) of experience in business development or salesOR equivalent experienceAble to work two days a week from our local office in Bellevue, WA or San Francisco, CAPreferred Qualifications:2+ years experience in business development or salesOR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) experience in computer science, software development, technology, or a related domain.Previous experience prospecting into enterprise accounts in a highly technical marketComfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentGenuine interest in technology and ability to understand, distill and convey the value proposition of an Enterprise PlatformKnowledge of Git and GitHubCompensation RangeThe base salary range for this job is USD $21.91 - USD $31.13 /Hr.In addition, this role also has the opportunity to earn sales incentives. On target earnings (OTE) is based on a 65/35 base salary/sales incentive.These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role.
