The Department of Radiology at the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine and USA Health are seeking an innovative and collaborative Division Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology to lead and guide the growth of a dynamic academic IR division serving the vibrant Gulf Coast region.This is an exciting opportunity to shape a comprehensive, system-managed IR service line that spans three hospitals and a growing network of outpatient and specialty centers across coastal Alabama. The Division of Interventional Radiology serves USA Health University Hospital, USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital, USA Health Providence Hospital, and the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute. Together, the three hospitals and standalone clinics are licensed for over 700 beds and include an ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center.USA Health is recognized as the region's leading provider of innovative, patient-centered care. The health system continues to strengthen its team of specialty trained interventional radiologists with advanced imaging technologies and support, ensuring exceptional care for all patients across the region and beyond.Responsibilities include clinical coverage of the interventional radiology service, instruction of medical students and residents in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and the pursuit of academic interests and research. ABR Certified and fellowship trained with Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Interventional Radiology. A license to practice medicine in Alabama is required upon hireExperience: Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Interventional Radiology, preferably in an academic medical center or academic settingKey Skills: Ability to grow a division from the ground-up with potential to oversee as many as (8) physicians.
