Childhood Education Advisor
Childhood Education Advisor: Queens, NY: Adhere to program performance standards/accreditation requirements/regulatory compliance & remain current on childhood education trends/best practices; Oversee DOE Pre-K curriculum alignment & design curriculum, including teacher guides, daily lesson plans, formative assessment tools & supplemental materials aligned with Common Core Standards; Lead/mentor/supervise preschool teaching staff, manage student discipline & ensure a safe/engaging learning environment; Develop/implement education strategies & facilitate professional development via conferences/demonstration lessons/peer-to-peer sessions; Support administrators/teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies by providing training, collecting/analyzing data & setting instructional goals; Engage teachers/administrators/community early childhood professionals to discuss student progress, resolve behavioral/academic concerns & develop practices that encourage parental involvement. Req: Master’s degree in Childhood Education or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood or childhood program administration/curriculum development/teacher supervision. Strong knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones/best practices/regulatory compliance requirements. Demonstrated expertise in NYS DOE Pre-K curriculum implementation/Common Core Standards alignment/early childhood assessment tools. Proven ability to design/deliver educator training, conduct classroom observations & provide instructional coaching. Excellent interpersonal/written/verbal communication skills. New York State Public School Teacher Certificate with concentration areas in Early Childhood or Childhood Education required. Salary: $60,000 - $70,000/year.
