Nurse Manager Neuro ICULocation: Delray Beach, Florida, United States Employment Type: Full-TimeThe Nurse Manager Neuro ICU is responsible for assisting the Administrative Director in the management of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care. This leadership role oversees both clinical and administrative operations of the unit, including staff management, operational coordination, and clinical oversight. The Nurse Manager ensures compliance with hospital policies, State and Federal regulations, Joint Commission standards, and American Nurses Association (ANA) guidelines. The position provides education, mentorship, and leadership to nursing staff while maintaining 24-hour accountability for clinical resources, staffing, and continuity of patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model for nursing staff.Promote the development of leadership and clinical skills among assistant nurse managers and nursing personnel.Ensure best practices in neuro critical care nursing.Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care delivery.Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.Monitor compliance with clinical protocols and patient safety standards.Assist in managing administrative and operational functions of the Neuro ICU.Support staff scheduling, resource allocation, and operational planning.Demonstrate knowledge of resource utilization and cost-effective care delivery.Provide staff education programs and clinical in-services.Coordinate orientation and training for new nursing staff.Support ongoing professional development and competency validation.Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures, Joint Commission standards, State and federal healthcare regulations, ANA ethical standards, and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.Represent the Administrative Director and Neuro ICU unit in hospital committees when required.Support organizational initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in a clinical specialty area (ICU / Neuro ICU preferred)Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experienceWorking knowledge of Quality Improvement processes, Joint Commission standards, Hospital clinical operationsRegistered Nurse (RN) License State of FloridaAmerican Heart Association (AHA) BLS CertificationACLS Certification requiredPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Nursing Education, or related fieldNational nursing specialty certificationExperience managing critical care or neuroscience unitsStrong leadership, communication, and team management skillsExperience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teamsKey CompetenciesNeuro Critical Care Nursing LeadershipStaff Development & Clinical MentorshipQuality Improvement & Patient SafetyRegulatory Compliance (Joint Commission, HIPAA)Operational & Resource Management
