Adjunct Partner Faculty

The Academics Administration Office of NGU is receiving applications for the position of adjunct instructor who is employed by our partner to serve as a dual enrollment instructor for specific agreed upon courses by the university and partnership school.North Greenville University is a teaching university of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and is a tobacco and alcohol-free campus. All NGU professors are expected to be orthodox Christians who have a strong personal faith, are role models in their piety and ethics, are regularly reflecting upon how their faith influences their discipline and are willing and able to mentor students in their own relationship with Jesus Christ. Faculty are expected to teach in accordance with, and not contrary to the university's "Statement on Human Flourishing." Affirm an understanding of, and willingness not to teach contrary to, the Baptist Faith & Message 2000RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach agreed up coursesEffectively utilize and monitor the learning management systemsAppropriately maintain student records, grades, and attendance to ensure accuracy and security.Meet all university deadlines for syllabi and grade submissionIn a timely and professional manner, communicate with, and respond to communications from your assigned coordinator, department chair, program coordinator, and dean, as well as your students, and the Office of Academic Records, the Partnership Coordinator and other relevant staff offices.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMobility: Able to move between buildings and attend classes, meetings, and functions across campus.Speaking: Frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas accurately, professionally, and with a contextually appropriate tone and volume.Cognitive/Emotional: Ability to critically think and express emotions and thoughts in an honest, collegial, constructive, and prudent mannerTRAVELAll faculty are expected to teach the course approved on the partnership school's campus for all scheduled in-person class sessionsWorking Relationships and ScheduleDual Enrollment Adjunct instructors and professors report to the coordinator assigned by the school, who reports to the chair of their department, who reports to the associate dean of their school, who reports to the Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences. Adjuncts who teach online courses will, for matters uniquely related to teaching online, report to the program coordinator for the online program in which they teach, who in turn reports to the Dean of Online Programs.This job posting in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee.
