Locum Tenens Physician Opportunity Near Eielson AFB, AK Profession: Physician Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury / General Medicine Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing We are seeking dedicated physicians for a locum tenens position involving a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) exams. This opportunity allows you to work on a PRN basis, providing flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care. Position Details: Rate Type: Daily Emergency/Temp Privileges: No Shift Type: Days Shift Description: PRN - as needed basis Shifts TBD Half day is 4 hours or less Full day is 4-8 hours Weekend Requirements: Able to work weekends, if desired/needed On Call Requirements: N/A Job Responsibilities: Perform a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams. Conduct primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing. Use a Goniometer for physical assessments. No prescribing or treatment involved. Complete and submit standardized forms (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion. Perform evaluations in the VES provider portal and review records as required. Requirements: Certification: Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R Experience: Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Must own a personal laptop (No Apple Laptops/MACs) Training: Provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) DMA Certification: Available (can earn CME credits) - required once privileged if not already certified Qualifications: Strong background in General Medicine or experience with TBI exams preferred. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Empathy and dedication to patient care. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
