Financial Management Consultant
We are seeking a contract accounting professional to evaluate and improve general ledger reconciliation practices. This contracted role will focus on reviewing current processes, assessing the accuracy and consistency of account reconciliations, and delivering actionable recommendations to enhance financial controls and reporting quality.Key Responsibilities:Analyze balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standardsInvestigate discrepancies, variances, and unusual activity, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issuesReview supporting documentation for adequacy and audit readinessSummarize findings and provide clear recommendations to improve processes and consistencyIdentify trends, risks, and gaps across reconciliation activitiesWork with leadership to help implement process improvements and transition updates to internal teamsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA strongly preferredStrong background in account reconciliations, including preparation and reviewSolid knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworksDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communicator with the ability to present insights clearlySelf-starter who can manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
