DeveloperJob Summary: The Developer's main responsibility is to mentor and coach servers and back servers by working hands-on with them to ensure the goal of delivering The Cliffs Club standards. In addition, this individual will be responsible for opening and/or closing procedures of the club.Job Duties:Prepare new hire training schedules using Cliffs Club Training Plan for all new employees.Incorporate daily on-going training for service staff in all sequence of service.Mentor and coach servers in the daily responsibilities.Work hands-on with staff to ensure standard procedures are accomplished.Takes food and beverage orders from guests and enters orders in our point-of-sale system.Accurately describes menu items, specials, drinks, and wines for guest satisfaction.Interacts with the bartender, properly setting up glasses for drinks.Assists in setting dining room station.Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.Interacts with co-workers in tandem, communicating clearly and precisely.Accommodates any special requests that the kitchen is able to deliver for the guest.Up-sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues.Assist in the scheduling of service associates and plan room set-ups based upon anticipated reservations and event needs.Assure that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are in place and consistently followed.Inspect dining room to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.Assure the correct appearance, cleanliness, and safety of all dining areas, equipment and fixtures. Check the maintenance of all equipment and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.Inspect service associates to ensure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all times (name tags, wine keys, and Cliffs pens).Assure that all side work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.Enforce established rules, regulations and policies.Close the day from the Point of Sale system, including cash, credit card balances, E-mailing closing reports and sending daily paperwork to Administration.Assure that the dining room and other Club Areas are secure at the end of the business day.Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards. Notes timing of meal progression and notifies kitchen staff.Performs pre-and post-shift side work; stock service station, make coffee, etc.Settles customer payments; receives change from cashier and returns change promptly to guest.May assist Host or Hostess with greeting/seating guests and filling glasses.Knows the menu items and the accompaniments for them, along with the daily specials.Answers questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.Monitors and observes guests' dining experience. Ensures guests are satisfied with the food and service. Responds promptly and courteously to any requests.Removes used tableware between courses and provides tableware for the next course.Assists runner as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.Maintains the tidiness of the table throughout the meal.
