Job Summary: The Packaging Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently labeling, packing, and palletizing items from the assembly area.Essential Job FunctionsPackages and loads production items on shipping palletsPerforms quality checks throughout the packing processCreates standard and custom cratingReceives orders into inventoryProcesses items into inventoryOrders and restocks boxesPerforms other 5S dutiesComplies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health and Environmental Safety team memberParticipates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goalsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications1-3 months' experience in related field preferredAbility to operate Scales, Tiger Saw, Computers,Hoists, Printers, Scissor lifts, Hand trucks, WrapMachines, Forklift, Standing Lift, WAV (work assistance vehicle) and Pallet JackAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram formMust have basic, mathematical, computer and technological skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyMust pass background check and drug screenCore CompetenciesEnsures Accountability – Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.Instills Trust – Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
