Job Title: Cribl Engineer / Cribl SMELocation: Ashburn/Vienna - hybridJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Cribl Engineer to design, implement, and optimize observability and data pipeline solutions using Cribl Stream. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing log/metric data flows, improving data efficiency, and integrating with modern SIEM and observability platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage data pipelines using Cribl StreamConfigure routing, filtering, parsing, and transformation of log/metric dataOptimize data ingestion and reduce costs across observability platformsIntegrate Cribl with tools like Splunk, Elastic Stack, and DatadogMonitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data flow issuesImplement data governance, masking, and compliance controlsAutomate deployments using CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate with DevOps, SRE, and Security teamsRequired Qualifications3–8+ years of experience in log management, observability, or data engineeringHands-on experience with Cribl Stream (pipelines, routes, packs, edge nodes)Strong understanding of log formats (JSON, syslog, regex parsing)Experience with Linux/Unix environmentsScripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or similar)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Preferred QualificationsExperience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel)Knowledge of data ingestion optimization and cost control strategiesExperience with Kubernetes and containerized environmentsExposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)Cribl certification (if available)Key SkillsLog aggregation & transformationData pipeline optimizationObservability architectureTroubleshooting & performance tuningAutomation & scriptingCompensation: 65-80/hr on w2. This is the targeted compensation range for this role.
