The position is responsible for operating various machines and equipment used in binding documents such as statements, invoices, books, and other printed materials, as well as hand assembling related printed materials.Work Authorization: To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.Your Shift: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pmYour ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment such as punches, round corner, collator, foliotronic, and other bindery equipment to punch holes, fasten sheets together, or perform other document binding functions such as collating, trimming, folding, stapling, and gluing operationsExamine collated, bound, and unbound documents to ensure that pages are bound in numerical or folio order according to sample copy, and check for defects such as imperfect bindings, ink spots, torn, loose, uneven pages, and loose or uncut threadsPerform various hand operations such as inserting illustrated pages, extra sheets, and collated sets into kits, catalogs, and periodicals, as well as inserting sheets and applying labels to various productsWrap product in plastic using shrink wrapping equipment, pack products in boxes, and tape lids of boxes shut appropriately for proper shippingRemove, stack, pack, and transport printed materials in various stages of completion on pallets as they accumulate on delivery tables of specific equipmentMaintain attendance according to facility guidelines and work constructively with co-workers, supervisors, and vendors while performing daily responsibilitiesYou Must HaveAbility to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job-specific written documentsAbility to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employeesAbility to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formRequirements Within This PositionAbility to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operates machinery and handles products including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)We Would Also PreferExperience operating bindery or finishing equipment in a production environmentExperience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or print environmentStrong attention to detail and qualityThe anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
