QA Engineer, BackendJob locations:Santa Clara, CA, USABrisbane, Queensland, AustraliaMust be able to legally work for any employer in the respective location (US or Australia).What we expect from you:Create tests to identify software problemsAnalyze bugs and errors found during tests and in partner systemsDocument results of tests for the software development teamRecommend improvements in software to enhance user experienceWork together with software developers to reproduce problems and give them a hard time over regressions encounteredConduct Load, Soak, and Performance testingKeep DevOps team updated with release notes, known issues, and new RunbooksMinimum requirements:Experience in software development lifecycle and testingExperience with Python, XML, Bash, JavaExperienced in test tools, including: Postman, cucumber, and Mocha, among othersProficient in test automationGood knowledge of Linux OS and toolsExcellent experience testing end-to-end systems running on mobile devices with backend servicesExceptional attention to detailExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsGood oral and written communicationGreat team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervisionLikes to break thingsHighly-desired qualifications:Good Android and iOS experienceExperience in financial industry standards, transactional components of the ecosystem, such as payment gateways, switches, ISO8583, etc.Experienced in AWS services with proven track record of sound cloud architectureWork environment & culture:We genuinely appreciate self-starters, self-motivation, and individuals who are able to work both independently AND collaboratively with other team membersWe value practical industry experience higher than college degreesWe are not process-heavy; only enough to ensure code qualityCritical thinking and creativity are of paramount importance to this roleHow to apply:Please send your resume to jobs@magiccube.co.
