You will be responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle as well as operating the pneumatic trailer for the purpose of loading and unloading powder cement. Ability to foster teamwork, positive work environment and overall safety of yourself and others.Job ResponsibilitiesCheck vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working orderManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positionedCollect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routesMaintain logs of working hours using On Board Computer (OBC) systemMaintain driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR) for vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulationsReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehiclesSecure cargo for transportDrive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulationsDrive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products or other materialsObtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods for services when requiredInventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditionsInspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water to ensure items are in proper regulation and / or working orderJob RequirementsAt least 2 years of driving experience - Tanker is a plusMust have completed a licensed truck driver training programMust possess a valid Class-A CDL licenseMust be in compliance with all DOT requirementsClean MVR with no preventable accidents over the last 1 yearPerform general physical activities requiring considerable use of your arms, legs and moving your whole body, such as: climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materialsOther physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift itemsA portion of work time is spent in a tractor trailer truck which requires extended amounts of sitting and operating a vehicle according to DOT guidelinesPosition will also require working in warehouse and production areas where temperatures can range from cool to hot and noise level can be moderate to highCompensationPayrate for this position is from $29-$32/hourVacation hours of two weeks per yearSick leave benefits in accordance with State Laws401k planShort-Term and Long-Term Disability benefitsNine paid Holidays per yearWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
