It is the cornerstone for all that we do here at Wyld.Make a MarkWe Blaze Our Own TrailBrand FirstWe Mean BusinessSummaryThe role of Buyer will be responsible for purchasing goods, evaluating and investigating current and new materials and services; ensuring the continuity of supply to meet the operational needs at Wyld. They will be able to analyze purchasing trends for specific markets and items to help identify possible supply-chain issues or new patterns that may lead to an increase in demand. The Buyer will be expected to negotiate with suppliers, research additional item selections and assist in keeping track of the current inventory of materials while considering price, quality and delivery of items. A successful candidate will have the ability to work a flexible schedule and enjoy a fast-paced, growing company, in an ever-changing industry.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The FollowingResearching, selecting, and purchasing quality products and materialsAbility to build relationships with vendors while monitoring supplier performance and communicating to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale while maintaining strong relationsExecuting purchases throughout the company; monitoring purchase orders with the ability to issue and or review orders as neededAnalyzing forecasts and staying up to date on pricing and industry trendsCoordinating with inventory teams, and management in monitoring the stock quality, tracking and escalating of any discrepancies during weekly OTBs (open to buys) from 3PLsAssisting in maintaining accurate procurement records of all transactions, purchase orders, and receiptsOverseeing aspects of shipping arrangements and logistics by assisting in coordinating and monitoring transportation of dry & refrigerated goods via LTL & TL; verifying delivery schedules, tracking and resolving any errors or issues associated with shipments, and making special shipping arrangements as necessaryLiaising with other corporate team members (Operations, Finance, etc) for interdepartmental successAbility to deliver relevant reporting to management with any need documentation (tracking of issues, closed purchase orders, etc.)Continuously suggesting improvements for a more accurate and efficient monitoring processes on open purchase ordersComplying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsAdditional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needsQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.2+ years of experience as a Buyer or in a similar role in Purchasing &/or Supply ChainGood working knowledge of purchasing strategiesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systemsTeam player with strong organizational skillsLanguage Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the companyPossess advanced mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionCPM or APICS certification preferredState regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or olderWill be required to submit to a background checkMust obtain all state-required: permits, licenses, and certificationsTravel between sites will be requiredBenefitsAs an exempt employee, you'll receive a yearly salary of $80,000-100,000/yr paid biweekly, 11 paid holidays, 120 hours of PTO, 16 hours of VTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.Wyld is an equal opportunity employer.
