Precision Machine Operator

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team and play a vital role in our operations. In this role, you will set up and operate various machine tools to produce precision parts, ensuring high-quality output and contributing to the efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Your expertise in machining procedures and metal properties will be essential to success in this role. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders, to fabricate precision components. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining parameters and tolerances. Conduct regular quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications. Maintain machines and equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance machining efficiency and reduce waste. Fabricate and modify parts to repair machine tools or maintain industrial equipment. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of experience as a precision machinist with knowledge of CNC programming. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T. Strong measuring skills using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Preferred Skills Experience with conversational programming. Familiarity with lift assist equipment and hoist cranes. Aptitude for process improvement and problem-solving.
