Senior Quality Technician Job Summary: Stabilus is the world leader in design and manufacture of hydro pneumatic positioning elements, hydraulic vibration dampers, electromechanical drives, and door positioners for automotive and industrial applications. The Senior Quality Technician is involved in performing tasks throughout the QMS, manufacturing and assembly processes. They will serve as a key source of knowledge for the production and assembly staff and must possess superior written and verbal communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout all departments of the organization is critical for the success of this position. Job functions will include inspection and documentation of incoming raw materials and goods as well as in-process and final inspections. Additional responsibilities will include data entry, record keeping, serving as a member of the internal audit team, assisting with creation of work instructions, and performing training as needed. Working knowledge of injection and transfer press operation is desirable. Essential Job Functions: Follow and implement procedures. Perform incoming and final inspections to print per C=0 sampling plan Identify and quarantine the suspect product. Obtain information to open CAPA reports. Create/Scan/Maintain records. Perform in-process inspections. Back up of Scarp report data entry Assist with work instructions. Communicate directly with Purchasing/Engineering when inspection questions arise. Process and review all purchase orders for specific incoming inspection requirements. Back up RMA process. Day-to-day cleanliness of QC Assist in assembly area when needed. Assist in molding/trimming area when needed. Responsible for the Calibration System (SOP -0031) Back up incoming Inspection Internal Auditor ISO 9001 Education, Training, Certifications: A high school diploma or GEC is required. Two-year college course in Quality Control/ASQ Certification/Green Belt preferred. Job Knowledge and Skills: A minimum of two years’ experience working in a similar Quality role Ability to pass drug screen, lift test and background check. Ability to read basic engineering drawings. Ability to use various types of measuring devices including digital calipers and durometer gauges. High level of organizational skills Ability to multi-task Heavy lifting will be required for this position. Problem solving skills are helpful. Ability to conduct training. Above average math skills Ability to perform basic statistical analysis. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Have above average computer literacy on PC. Have high key stroke accuracy and ability to accurately proof-read. Have good command of the English language, both verbal and written Have above average interpersonal skills to work with other departments.
