Mechanical Assembler

Entry Level Mechanical Assembler This position is responsible for the assembly of metal cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions, and performing a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.ResponsibilitiesInterpret assembly and elevation drawingsConstruct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assembliesRead tape measureUse manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliersOperate power tools including drills, impacts, and pneumatic torque wrenchesEssential SkillsAt least 1 year of experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic in a job shop environmentKnowledge of electrical symbols and schematicsAbility to use shop equipment and hand toolsPerform basic math functions including fractions and decimalsFluency in English for reading, writing, and conversingAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not requiredJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
