Description Hematology / Oncology Physician Opportunity Two Positions AvailableNew Hartford, New YorkA healthcare organization in New Hartford is seeking two Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physicians to join a collaborative oncology care team. This opportunity offers the ability to provide comprehensive cancer care in a supportive clinical environment with access to modern diagnostic and treatment resources. Position Overview The Hematology/Oncology Physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of blood disorders and cancers. The role includes managing patient care plans, coordinating treatment with multidisciplinary teams, and providing compassionate support to patients and families throughout treatment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders and various types of cancerDevelop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and other oncology treatmentsManage outpatient clinic visits and inpatient consultations as neededInterpret laboratory tests, pathology reports, and diagnostic imagingCoordinate care with surgeons, radiation oncologists, primary care providers, and other specialistsMonitor treatment response and adjust care plans accordinglyProvide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and supportive careMaintain accurate and timely medical documentationParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical collaboration Community Overview Located in central New York near Utica, New Hartford offers a welcoming community with a balance of small-town charm and access to regional amenities. Requirements General Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degreeBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical OncologyCompletion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency programCompletion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship programEligible for or able to obtain a New York medical licenseStrong clinical judgment and patient care skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesCommitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
