Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner
Overview
The Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner plays a vital role in assisting individuals with achieving their personal, social, and vocational goals. This position involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, develop tailored rehabilitation plans, treatment plans and provide ongoing support throughout their journey. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in counseling, social work, or related fields, and have a passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify individual needs and challenges.
Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans based on assessment findings.
Provide counseling and support to clients dealing with various disabilities or challenges.
Utilize telehealth platforms and on-site setting to deliver remote counseling services as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with ICD-10 coding standards.
Offer guidance on resources available for outpatient services and community support.
Work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum and in pediatric settings.
Explore innovative therapeutic approaches, including dance therapy, to enhance client engagement.
Skills
Proficient in ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
Strong background in outpatient care settings.
Experience in social work or related fields is highly desirable.
Excellent patient assessment skills to identify needs effectively.
Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professional boundaries.
Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology for remote counseling sessions.
Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum and pediatric populations is a plus.
Creative approach to therapy, including an understanding of dance therapy techniques.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
