We help end users list equipment, connect machinery dealers with buyers, and give auctioneers a powerful platform to promote auctions and attract more bidders.Think: the best parts of Machinetools.com, EquipNet, and Surplus Record—rebuilt for today.We’re early, fast-moving, and building as we go.The OpportunityWe’re hiring our first sales leader—someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds structure from scratch, and is excited to help define both the product and the go-to-market motion.This is not a “plug into a system” role.This is a build the system while selling role.You’ll be responsible for driving early revenue by bringing auctioneers and machinery dealers onto the platform—and shaping how we scale.What You’ll DoOwn outbound sales from day one Prospect and call auctioneers to get them to advertise upcoming auctions Reach out to machinery dealers to list equipment on our marketplace Sell paid placements Drive listing and advertising revenue across both sides of the marketplace Build and refine the playbook Develop messaging, pricing feedback, and sales processes Identify what works and double down on it Manage and grow accounts Turn early customers into repeat users Build long-term relationships with dealers and auctioneers Operate in a fast-moving environment Test ideas quickly and adapt without rigid structure Lay the foundation for scale Help define hiring needs, tools, and sales strategy as revenue grows Who You AreHighly self-motivated and confident—you don’t wait for direction Comfortable with ambiguity and a “figure it out” environment Strong communicator, especially on the phone Resilient and persistent—you’re not afraid of rejection Entrepreneurial mindset—you think like an owner, not an employee Organized enough to manage your own pipeline without heavy oversight Bonus if you have:Experience in machinery, industrial sales, marketplaces, or auctions Early-stage startup experience Compensation & UpsideCompetitive base + aggressive commission structure Direct impact on company revenue and growth Equity / profit-sharing opportunity for the right candidate Growth PathThis role is designed to evolve quickly.Once you’ve built a $500K+ book of business, you’ll be positioned to: Step into a leadership role Hire and manage additional sales reps Potentially run the sales organization—or the company as a whole Why This RoleBe the first sales hire and shape the company’s trajectory Real ownership, not just a quota Clear path to leadership and equity Build something meaningful in a massive, underserved market
