Our team provides expert care for:Stroke and cerebrovascular diseaseEpilepsy and seizure disordersMultiple sclerosis and demyelinating disordersParkinson's disease and other movement disordersHeadaches and migraine syndromesNeuromuscular disordersCognitive disorders and dementiaOur approach combines clinical excellence, advanced diagnostics, and compassionate, patient-centered care to ensure every individual feel supported and empowered throughout their journey.What You'll Do as a Neurologist at Meritus Health, you'll:Perform and interpret detailed neurological examinations and diagnostic testingOrder and review imaging studies (MRI, CT) and electrodiagnostic tests (EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies)Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of neurological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settingsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plansProvide follow-up care and long-term disease managementDocument patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMRParticipate in on-call coverage as requiredCollaborate closely with primary care physicians, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, rehabilitation specialists, and multidisciplinary teamsEducate patients and families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategiesMinimum QualificationsEducation: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school; completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency required.Experience: Board certification or eligibility in Neurology required. Experience in stroke care and inpatient/outpatient neurology preferred.Licensure/Certification: Active Maryland medical license (or eligibility to obtain). Current DEA Registration and CDS permit required. Current BLS (CPR) certification requiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates critical thinking, extensive clinical competence, and expertise in neurology. Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
