Casual Service Wordhip Leader

Job Summary:The Casual Service Worship Leader is responsible for planning and leading musical worship in conjunction with the Worship Team Coordinator for the casual worship service. Reports to Music Ministry Leader. Key Responsibilities:1. Lead Casual Worship Service: Plan and lead casual service in themed content, musical and speaking transitions in coordination with the Worship Team Coordinator.2. Service Planning: Collaborate with the leadership and pastoral team to align casual worship service with the church’s vision and sermon themes.3. Musical Excellence: Foster a spiritually enriching environment for the worship team and congregation.4. Must be able to read/notate music in the form of chord charts and arrange songs.5. Attend biweekly staff meetings either in person or via Zoom. Qualifications:1. Faith and Character: A committed Christian with strong personal faith and a lifestyle that reflects Christian values.2. Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading worship in a church setting. Strong leadership and team building skills.3. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage and connect with the congregation.4. Technical skills: Familiarity with worship technology including sound systems, lighting and presentation software.5. Musical skills: Strong vocal abilities. Ability to read music and arrange songs. Preferred Qualifications:1. Education: Degree in Music, Worship Arts or a related field2. Experience: Experience in contemporary worship settings and knowledge of a wide range of contemporary Christian music.https://mysharon.org
