As we continue to grow, we are seeking a CNC Mechanical Engineer to help scale operations and support increasingly complex work.Position OverviewThis role combines engineering and CNC programming responsibilities to develop, optimize, and execute machining processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring new projects are technically sound, production-ready, and scalable, while supporting CNC programming and continuous improvement initiatives.This is a hands-on, high-impact role working closely with engineering, programming, and shop floor teams.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Process DevelopmentServe as a technical resource for Sales to support quoting, including machining methods and cycle time estimatesDefine manufacturing processes, routing, and operation sequences for new partsEnsure first-time job readiness before release to productionCNC Programming SupportAssist in developing and maintaining CNC programs (approximately 25% of role)Support toolpath strategy, optimization, and program debuggingCollaborate closely with CNC programmers and machinistsProduction Support & Continuous ImprovementTroubleshoot machining and process-related issuesDrive improvements in cycle time, repeatability, and first-pass yieldContribute to machining standards, tooling strategies, and best practicesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Production Planning to ensure realistic schedulesWork with engineering, machining, and leadership teams to improve manufacturabilityManage engineering change orders (ECOs) with clear communication of impactWhat Success Looks LikeStrong first-time success on new parts and buildsImproved efficiency, cycle times, and process consistencyHigh-quality CNC programs and optimized machining strategiesEffective collaboration across engineering, programming, and production teamsQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering with 1–5 years of experience in precision machining or high-mix manufacturing environments, or Associates degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering with 3 - 6 years of experience in precision machining or high-mix manufacturing environmentsExperience with CNC programming (CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)Experience with 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks.Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and machining processesAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawingsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication and ability to work cross-functionallyPreferredExperience with first-time builds or prototype workExposure to fixture design and tooling strategiesLean manufacturing or continuous improvement experienceHands-on machining experienceWork EnvironmentHands-on role with time split between office/workstation and shop floorCollaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environmentWhy Join Us?Opportunity to work on complex, high-value componentsDirect impact on process development and operational growthCollaborative and skilled team environmentStrong opportunity for career growth and developmentApply TodayIf you're passionate about machining, engineering, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you!
