Position: Scala Tech LeadLocation: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite) HybridJob Description:Role OverviewWe are looking for a Team Lead – Scala Engineering to lead a small, high performing engineering team delivering scalable, high quality backend solutions. This role combines hands on technical contribution with people leadership, design ownership, and delivery accountability.Must Have Skills• Strong hands on experience in Scala (backend development)• Proven experience leading development teams in an Agile environment• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems• Strong code review, debugging, and performance optimisation skills• Java (for interoperability or legacy system support)Nice to Have Skills• Apache Spark or large scale data processing frameworks• Docker and containerised application development• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud native architectures
