English and math tutor needed for 3 to 6th grade students (Common core state test)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students across various subjects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential. Responsibilities - Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions - Assist students in understanding reading comprehension, short response, essay and Math concepts. - Provide support in classroom management and childcare for younger students - Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage students - Help students with homework assignments and exam preparation Qualifications - Experience working with students in various age groups (3 to 6th graders) - Strong knowledge in Math and English - Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Patience and empathy when working with students facing academic challenges Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Tutoring: 1 year (Required) Language: English (Required) Ability to Commute: Elmhurst, NY 11373 (Required) Work Location: In person
