Collaborate with general education and special education teachers to develop and maintain academic programming for students with an Individualized Education Plan.Performance ResponsibilitiesA. Technical Assistance and Support of Students with IEPsConsult with special education teachers regarding ongoing teacher assessment of their students as required by IDEA.Provide consultative review and constructive feedback to teachers regarding student IEPs.Inform parents of sources of assistance available.B. Diagnostic ProcessHelp general education teachers with students who are having classroom difficulties as part of the Student Assistance Teams.Participate in building meetings as requested by a local building within assigned districts.Serve as MET Rep in public and/or non-public meetings as appropriate.Serve as a member of IEP team as needed in local school districts.Collaborate in student IEP re-evaluation planning for decision-making purposes.Perform systematic direct observation of referred students.Administer tests, which may include achievement, adaptive behavior, and/or criterion referenced and curriculum-based assessments and summarize the results of administered assessments.Help in the development and review of accommodations for referred students.Help in the transfer-in process of students with IEPs, interpret reports in the CA60, and obtain needed reports.Maintain necessary records and schedules, attend required meetings, and transport needed materials to and from buildings.Continuously upgrade knowledge of special education issues to help future program needs.C.
