Job summary: This position primarily operates and maintains the plasma and waterjet cutting equipment. This position may also perform other production activities with training. Model specific AKS Plasma & Flow Waterjet training available. Qualifications: High school or equivalent a plus but not required Manufacturing machine operator experience: 1 year (Required) Basic knowledge of computer systems a plus. Mechanical aptitude an hand tool knowledge: 1 years Manufacturing machine operator experience: 1 year (Required) Ability to use/read tape measures and squares, along with a working knowledge of using calipers. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions. Duties/responsibilities: Develop and write CNC programs for Haas mills and lathes, at least 30% knowledge Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes according to the program specifications. Operate the Plasma and/or Waterjet equipment. Select and set up nozzles and/or cutting tips based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. Monitor process gases and report reordering levels to supervisor. Operate Forklift and other lifting devices in a safe manner Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required. Perform all dimensional inspections. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions. 0-3+ years of experience in set up, operation and/or programming of Multi-Axis Haas CNC Mill and Lathe. Ability to read and understand GD&T, notes and tolerances a plus but not required. Willing to learn new task in the field of manufacturing and grow with the company. Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times; Manual dexterity in order to complete tasks assigned; The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
