Overview
MaineHealth Cancer Care invites a Gastrointestinal Medical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The role will be based at the MaineHealth Scarborough Cancer Center and Maine Medical Center in Portland, and will participate in a hub and spoke model, partnering via telehealth with providers at rural sites across the system.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to gastrointestinal cancer patients in Scarborough and Portland.
Collaborate closely with gastrointestinal medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and other specialists.
Participate in oncologic clinical and translational research in partnership with Tufts University School of Medicine.
Support the hub and spoke telehealth model, consulting with advance practice oncology providers in rural locations.
Qualifications
Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Medical Oncology with a focus on gastrointestinal cancers.
Prior experience in an academic health system is preferred; early career physicians with strong potential are welcome.
Strong communication, teamwork, and telehealth competency.
