We rely heavily on our technicians, and we are specifically seeking someone who is proficient, confident, and capable from day one.You will be responsible for:Performing patient triage and obtaining thorough medical historiesAccurately calculating, preparing, and administering medicationsDetailed and accurate medical record keepingSafe and skilled animal restraintPhlebotomy and specimen handlingDental cleanings and radiographsAssisting with anesthesia and surgical proceduresX-ray positioning and processingAnimal husbandry and general patient careEducating and communicating with pet ownersMaintaining a clean, safe, and sterile hospital environmentDependability, strong communication, and excellent technical skills are a must.Experience Requirements (VERY IMPORTANT):Minimum 1 YEAR of experience as a veterinary technician OR a Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician REQUIRED — no exceptions.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 38 per weekBenefits:401(k) matchingContinuing education creditsEmployee discountLicense reimbursementPaid time offDirect one medical License/Certification:Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)Work Location: In personCompany DescriptionWhen we established Ponderosa Veterinary Clinic, we knew we wanted to be different.
