Mainframe Developer
Senior Mainframe Applications Developer (COBOL, DB2, Natural, CICS)
Location: Austin, TX (100% Remote - Texas Only)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Experience Required
Minimum 12-15+ years of IT experience.
2-3+ years of experience with a State or Federal Workforce/Labor Department is highly preferred.
Required Technical Skills
Advanced experience developing, testing, and debugging COBOL, Natural, and JCL applications in large-scale IBM mainframe environments.
Strong hands-on experience with DB2 database design, schema modifications, table optimization, and relational database integration.
Experience with CICS/Map environments, online screen modifications, runtime routines, and complex batch processing.
Strong experience developing and integrating SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON Web APIs with legacy mainframe applications.
Experience implementing enterprise authentication and authorization using LDAP, SAML, OIDC, Azure AD/Entra ID, or Okta.
Experience analyzing legacy applications, undocumented code, and batch workflows to implement enhancements.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Experience performing data-driven testing, debugging, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support.
Expertise performing gap analysis and impact analysis on highly customized legacy systems.
Experience handling and protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within government environments.
Experience with Visio and ALM Octane.
Highly Preferred
Experience implementing or supporting NASWA SIDES (State Information Data Exchange System) integrations.

Domain Experience Preferred
