CNC Programmer / OperatorJackson, MI Direct Hire | Full-Time | Onsite Pay: $28+/hourAbout the RoleOur client is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Operator to support both programming and machining operations within a growing manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for a self-sufficient individual who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and helping build a more efficient, lights-out machining operation.The ideal candidate will have strong programming experience in both milling and turning environments, along with the ability to support setup verification, first-piece inspections, and ongoing process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Horizontal and Vertical Mills using Autodesk Fusion CAMUtilize advanced NC Cloud AI CAM Assist technologyProgram and support CNC turning operations using GibbsCAMRead, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced G-code and macro programsUtilize common variables and scheduled programming techniquesSupport machining process improvements and production efficiency initiativesPerform first-piece inspections and ensure quality standards are metVerify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipmentTroubleshoot machining issues and support setup optimizationContribute to continuous improvement efforts and lights-out manufacturing initiativesCollaborate with production leadership to improve throughput and machine utilizationQualificationsCNC programming experience in milling and turning environmentsProficiency with Autodesk Fusion CAMExperience with GibbsCAM for turning operationsExperience with Haas and Okuma controllersStrong understanding of GD&TAbility to read, modify, and troubleshoot advanced G-code and macrosExperience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and bore gaugesSelf-motivated with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with Common Variables and Schedule ProgrammingKnowledge of Tombstone Management Systems (TMS) is a plusContinuous improvement mindset with a desire to help build lights-out machining capabilitiesScheduleMonday Thursday5:00 AM 3:45 PM45-minute unpaid lunch (11:45 AM 12:30 PM)OvertimeFridays and Saturdays reserved for overtime as neededTypically provided with at least two days' noticeRecent overtime has been limited due to operational efficiency improvementsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing manufacturing organization where you can make a direct impact on machining performance, programming standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
