Our Pet Stylists express their creativity as experienced pet groomers in our busy salons, focusing on grooming dogs (and cats too, if certified) of all sizes and temperaments to ensure they look their best. Additional responsibilities include brushing, trimming nails, and performing add-on services.We are an Employee-owned and operated company that is expanding, which provides many growth opportunities within the company. Always interacts with customers in a warm, friendly and professional mannerPractices timeliness -starts shift on time, and finishes pets before promised timeConscientiously performs all aspects of the grooming service to Best Friends expectations of qualityMust have the ability to groom all breeds, style all fur types and is able to complete specific breed styles requested by clientWorks in an organized and hygienic manner. Keeps work area free of hair and clutter and sanitizes tools and compartments between petsUnderstands the purpose of products and uses them appropriately, follows label directions. Assists Manager maintain inventory by reporting stock levelsTreats equipment and tools with care and helps with simple maintenance. Reports mechanical failures to manager in writingInteracts with Manager and center staffing a manner to make sure the salon runs smoothly and meets the highest expectations of service and product qualityRequirementsAt Minimum 1-2 years of experience out of school or professionally trainedHigh school diplomaMust be able to work evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to frequently lift 50 poundsMust be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretionsMust have excellent interpersonal skillsMust have strong communication skillsMust possess a love of animals and patience when handling petsDisplays a professional manner at all timesUpbeat and positive personalityDependable and has reliable transportation
