Asphalt Milling and Paving Operators

Job Responsibilities:Perform tasks involving physical labor in asphalt milling and paving. Operate a variety of equipment dependent upon skill set to include milling and paving machines. Duties will vary. Overnight stays, night and weekend works shifts may be required occasionally throughout the normal milling and paving season.Operate equipment depending on skill set and level of abilityPerform duties involving shoveling, raking, luting, jack hammering, heavy lifting and the use of multiple small tools involved with asphalt milling and paving when neededClean tools, materials and work areasMust perform all tasks in a safe manner following all safety precautionsClearly communicate with other crew members to ensure safety, teamwork and completion of daily goalsJob Qualifications:Must have experience operating heavy equipment relevant to paving and millingMust have reliable transportation to the work sitesMust be able to work in extreme weather conditionsMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 poundsLift, carry and hold building materials, tools and suppliesPerform variety of functions such as dig, spread and level dirt, asphalt and gravel with a pick or shovelClean tools, equipment, materials and work areasMust be a safety conscious individualBe able to stoop, kneel, and crouchFrequently lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 poundsSee and hear well (either naturally or with correction)Pay Rate: $20.00 - $38.00We are an Equal Opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, medical condition, disability, veteran status, or any other basis protected by law.
