Come be a part of the most innovative agency around.The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the department; pediatric assessments, consultations, and therapies in the area of Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist will provide their services in a generally accepted manner while adhering to the code of ethics of the profession, and in accordance with all applicable state laws.Job Duties:Assess, consult, plan and conduct treatment for pediatric clients and their familiesContinuously evaluate client needs, plan and problem solve in order to help each client reach his or her potentialCommunicate and collaborate with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents in order to provide an effective programSupervise appropriate staff and student interns effectively within scope of practice, as needed (e.g., COTA, OT student intern)Document all consultation and treatment sessions on a daily basis, as well as provide appropriate documentation to treatment teamProvide assessment, progress and discharge reports in a timely mannerMaintain client files and treatment logs in an organized manner to include appropriate documentation to teamCommunicate with Department Managers and Directors regarding any changes in status, problems, or intent to change any aspect of services already in place; and, to discuss same with Directors prior to communicating with client's family or referral sourceAttend and participate in meetings as required (e.g., staff meetings, team meetings, IEP/IFSP meetings).Develop instructional materials and evaluate commercially produced materials for use in treatmentKeep current on latest developments in field of occupational therapy by attending professional seminars, reading current literature, and participating in professional organizations.Plan, coordinate and conduct in-service trainings for staffKeep careful record of billable hours which will require parent signatureStay abreast of funding resource changes which impact reporting and/or treatment requirementsMaintain treatment hours according to employment agreementPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's or higher in Occupational TherapyState Licensure as an Occupational Therapist1-3 years of experience in pediatricsBenefits:Competitive pay $75,000 to $90,000 dependent on experience and billable hoursPaid mileage between appointments and travel timePaid initial and on-going trainings on various clinical topicsAttendance at relevant conferences and trainingsMedical, Dental & Vision insurance benefits for part-time and full-time staff401K PlanFlexible scheduling; Full time or per diemTraining in assessment, data analysis and report writing, and programmingOpportunities for advancement
