We are seeking a Sr. Proposal Manager who has experience dealing with Federal RFPs in Tysons,VAResponsibilities:Cradle to grave proposal management responsibilitiesReviews requests for proposals/request for information (RFPs/RFIs). Supports bid/no bid process. Identifies and tracks proposal risks, escalating risks to senior management as neededLeads proposal kickoff meeting jointly with capture managers. Develops proposal plans, schedules, outlines, and compliance matricesPrepares questions for submission to the clientAssembles and reviews the efforts of internal and external proposal contributorsCoaches proposal team on persuasive writing and proposal best practicesManages software development proposals in response to complex Federal RFPs with total contract value of $50M or more (for example, IDIQs or multiple phase submissions)Writes/edits non-technical sections such as executive summaries, staffing, management, past performance, and resumesReviews proposal draft and final versions for compliance and responsiveness to RFP, thoroughness, accuracy, staffing, financial considerations, quality, and effective design and layout; able to confirm consistency across sectionsPerforms editing and desktop publishing as needed to prepare proposal for submissionEdits graphics in PowerPoint or Adobe Illustrator as neededIn addition to work on specific proposals, creates corporate concepts and boilerplate content for use in future proposalsConducts meetings to collect lessons learned and updates processes and templates accordinglySupervises junior team membersHelps to maintain a proposal libraryProvides proposal training to internal proposal contributorsRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree in Communications, English or Marketing or Computer Science (or similar)Association of Proposal Management Professionals Foundation (APMP) certification (minimum)7+ years of experience performing end-to-end, complex Federal RFP proposal management and development for similar sized company delivering similar servicesStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong interpersonal and proactive communication skillsAbility to take direction and great attention to detailStrong written English language skillsExperience with Microsoft Office suite, with expertise in Word, including styles and embedded objectsExcellent formatting, writing and editing skillsAbility to quickly compile and present information from disparate sources in pressure situationsExperience creating and editing proposal graphicsExperience with Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe ProfessionalThere will be a short exercise as part of the interview process.Preferred Experience:Experience with Adobe Illustrator and proposal automation software (RFPIO)
