Lead .NET Developer

Title: Lead .NET DeveloperDuration: Contract to HireLocation: Remote (Houston, Austin, or Dallas preferred) - periodic in‑office presence as neededCompensation: Up to $80/hour depending on experience No C2C or 3rd party vendors at this time. SummaryOur client is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to play a key role in a large‑scale Platform Resource Management and workflow enablement initiative. This individual will work closely with business and technical teams to design, configure, and integrate enterprise workflow solutions that support complex operational processes.The role offers flexibility to work remotely on a regular basis, with occasional in‑office collaboration required for planning sessions, training, or critical milestones. The initial engagement is expected to run approximately six months, with potential to convert based on performance and business need.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical design, configuration, and integration of enterprise workflow and resource management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce, Power Automate, Workday etc.)Design and implement scalable, resilient workflows spanning multiple systems, including REST API integrations, event‑based triggers, and rules‑driven automationPartner with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business processes into technical solutionsLead workflow logic and form configuration efforts, converting business rules into actionable system behaviorProvide technical guidance and act as a trusted advisor through solution design reviews, demonstrations, and best‑practice recommendationsBuild, test, and deploy solutions following established development standards and quality controlsOffer technical leadership and mentorship to development team members, promoting collaboration and engineering excellenceTroubleshoot and resolve integration challenges across hybrid environments, including on‑premise and cloud systemsCollaborate closely with product owners, business users, and support teams to ensure alignment and successful deliveryPerform platform administration duties such as security and role configuration, user provisioning, environment monitoring, and routine maintenanceSupport production systems by diagnosing issues, maintaining performance, and ensuring reliability of critical applicationsManage SDLC activities using tools such as Azure DevOps, including release planning, change coordination, deployment oversight, and post‑deployment validationProduce supporting documentation including architecture summaries, deployment guides, and implementation plansContribute to additional initiatives as needed in support of evolving business prioritiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related disciplineOR equivalent professional experience (10+ years) in application and web development7+ years of hands‑on experience with .NET, C#, REST APIs, PowerShell, and SQL ServerDemonstrated experience leading technical initiatives across the full software development lifecycleStrong background in enterprise workflow platforms, system configuration, and administration (e.g., ServiceNow, Power Automate, Salesforce, or similar systems)Proven ability to analyze requirements and carry solutions through design, development, deployment, and operational supportBroad technical skill set across programming languages, development methodologies, and delivery practicesExperience coordinating deployments and managing environments in partnership with infrastructure and operations teamsProficiency with Microsoft development and delivery tooling such as Azure DevOpsFamiliarity with incident management, security practices, risk awareness, and end‑user enablementExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical stakeholder groups All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
