Floating Spray/Installation Technician
Job Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean and prepare the truck bed surface to ensure proper adhesion of the spray-in bedliner material. This may involve removing any existing coatings, rust, dirt, and debris.Masking and Taping: Use masking materials and tapes to cover areas of the vehicle that should not receive the bedliner coating, such as the vehicle's exterior or any sensitive components.Mixing Materials: Properly mix the spray-in bedliner material according to the manufacturer's guidelines to achieve the desired consistency and ensure optimal performance.Application of Bedliner: Apply the spray-in bedliner material evenly and accurately to the truck bed using specialized spray equipment. Pay close attention to achieve uniform thickness and coverage.Quality Control: Inspect the completed bedliner application for any imperfections, ensuring a smooth and consistent finish. Make necessary adjustments and touch-ups as required.Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean the spray equipment regularly to ensure it operates efficiently and safely.Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with spray-in bedliner materials and equipment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and working in well-ventilated areas.Customer Interaction: Interact with customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the spray-in bedliner process and its benefits.Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of completed projects, customer details, and any specific customization requests.Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about advancements in bedliner materials, application techniques, and industry trends to enhance skills and knowledge.Education/Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience as a spray-in bedliner technician or in a related field is advantageous but not required.
