Staff Accountant

Title: Staff AccountantReports To: Senior AccountantSalary Range: $60,000 – $72,500FLSA Status: Non-ExemptLocation: Oakdale, CA (On-site)Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting functions with a focus on accuracy, organization, and timeliness. This role works closely with the Senior Accountant and plays a key part in maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, analyze, and post general ledger journal entriesPerform monthly bank and account reconciliationsRecord expense allocations, accruals, and amortization entriesAssist with month-end, year-end, and audit processesSupport financial reporting and account analysisCollaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate recordsInvestigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issuesContribute to process improvements and documentationAssist with special projects and additional accounting tasks as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)Early career experience or internship in accounting or finance is a plusSkills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of GAAP and accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office SuiteExperience with general ledger activity and reconciliationsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesTeam-oriented with strong communication skills and initiativeCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $60,000 – $72,500401(k) with company match up to 6%10 paid holidays annuallyPTO and sick timeComprehensive medical plan options, including employee-only coverage at no cost on select plansCompany-sponsored events and team gatherings
