Mailroom Associate - LOCALS ONLY

With two decades of experience, we use a combination of latest technological knowledge, future-driven ideas, and specialized skills for multiple forms of IT requirements.SGS has served numerous clients nationwide in various industries and we want you to be a part of that growth and opportunity!ONLY GREEN CARD AND US CITIZENS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE!Fully onsite role for candidates local to St. Petersburg, FLOpportunity for extension or conversion based on attendance, performance, and availability of an FTE openingWork schedule- 8:00 AM-4:30 PM CST Monday through FridayIMPORTANT NOTE- Must have a minimum of 1 year of mailroom experience (handling packages, mail, etc.)Receives packages and delivers them to the respective RJ AssociatesMail is delivered to a main office- the distribution associate will be pick up the mail in a mail van and bring to other location 1/4 mile away to then deliver itemsMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand for at least 60% of work shiftEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Processes incoming mail and express packages which include verifying addresses, opening envelopes/packages, determining priority of contents, accurately sort/handle and deliver.Sorts, packages and processes/ships branch and outgoing first-class mail neatly and accurately, as well as miscellaneous express shipments. Properly stages all outgoing items for carrier pick up at designated times.Delivers and picks up bulk, special courier and ground packages, archive, paper, office supplies daily. Obtain signatures where required.Answers phone, assists customers/vendors and email inquiries with exemplary Service 1st professionalism.Communicates with higher level associates to ensure clear direction, priority of workflow and timeline for completion.Assists with distribution of mass mailings to branches.Operates company vehicles safely and in accordance to local/state laws. Refers maintenance issues to supervisor.Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.Knowledge of:Basic office practices, procedures and methods.Basic mathematical calculations. Skill in:Organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Demonstrating sensitivity to customer needs (both internal and external) and proactively address customer needs.Ability to:Execute instructions and request clarification when necessary.Provide courteous, timely service when addressing associate/customer questions and concerns.Learn, understand and follow company/department policies, procedures and requirements,Speak clearly and conciselyConstructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.Process work with urgency without sacrificing accuracy.Understand and work to achieve the goals in the department’s Mission statement.Work independently and as part of the team.Maintain a neat working environment.Stand 75%-100% of the day.Lift items, load, push/pull carts, and pallets following safety guidelines and with caution to avoid damage to walls, doors, elevators, artwork and other company property.High School Degree or Equivalent Degree RequiredLicenses/Certifications:Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (must be approved by company’s insurance carrier).
