Network Engineer

Network EngineerThe Network Engineer is responsible for developing, engineering, and deploying technical solutions within a community wide, dedicated network. This individual will work within a small, focused team of network and systems engineers to implement technical solutions addressing challenging collaboration and data protection problems.Duties:Develop Datacenter, LAN, WAN, and Client Access networks/systemsIntegrate, Test, and deploy systemsPerform full lifecycle management of network systems (building, deploying, maintaining)Monitor networksDemonstrate the following:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, determine course of action and act promptly and effectively when problems arise.Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communications skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well on collaborative teams.Maintain appropriate technical training to ensure skills are kept current with evolving technologyPerforms other duties as assigned at the direction of Project ManagementRequired Skills:Ability to travel on an infrequent, but as needed basis, primarily CON USRecent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with Cisco Datacenter, WAN, LAN, Client Access technologies such as MACsec, HSRP, VRF, VPC, ACLs, BGP, EIGRPRecent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with IOS-XE, NX-OS, LinuxRecent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with customer specific transport networksRecent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with Firewalls and VPN Concentrators (FTD and ASA)Recent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with Network and Application load balancersHands-on experience implementing customer IT and Cyber Security best practicesRecent (within the last 3 years) experience managing and delivering engineering projects, i.e., designing, building, deployingRecent (within the last 3 years) experience with provisioning and management of a variety of network devicesHands-on experience with collaboration and ticketing toolsHands-on experience with Cloud platformsDemonstrated understanding of high availability technologies and implantation/deployment concepts
