This role goes far beyond a traditional host position. We are searching for someone who naturally connects with people, thrives in high-energy environments, and understands that genuine hospitality is built through presence, relationships, and attention to detail. This individual will act as a lead presence at the host stand and throughout the dining room, helping guide service flow, support the team, and create memorable guest experiences from the moment guests arrive.The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, confident in communicating with guests from all backgrounds, and excited to become part of the Tiburon community. We are looking for someone who values people just as much as operations — someone who remembers names, preferences, celebrations, and the small details that turn guests into regulars while helping foster a positive and welcoming culture for both guests and staff.Responsibilities:Lead the host stand and assist in daily floor operationsHelp guide reservation pacing, seating flow, and guest experienceSupport and delegate tasks to the host team during serviceAct as a leadership presence on floor alongside managersBuild genuine connections with guests and local regularsLearn guest preferences, celebrations, allergies, and dining habits to help personalize experiencesAssist with guest recovery and problem-solving when neededMaintain strong communication with FOH Team, BOH Team, and leadershipSupport training, culture-building, and hospitality standardsStay informed on local events, conventions, seasonal tourism, and community happenings that may impact businessDevelop familiarity with local clientele, businesses, hotels, marinas, and the surrounding Tiburon/San Francisco hospitality scenePotentially assist with administrative organization as the role developsAdapt alongside the growth of the business as we grow and challenge our staffWhat We’re Looking For:2+ years of hospitality or restaurant experience preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsNaturally warm, approachable, and engaging personalityAbility to remain calm and organized in high-volume environmentsLeadership qualities without relying on authority or egoPassion for hospitality, guest experience, and team cultureStrong awareness of social cues and emotional intelligenceInterest in community engagement and relationship-buildingExperience with reservations platforms such as OpenTable is a plusPublic speaking, communications, hospitality, or leadership-related education/classes are a plus, but not requiredWhat Makes This Role Different:This is an opportunity to become part of the identity of The Bungalow Kitchen.
