Job Description Junior IT Computer OperatorJob at a GlanceLocation: Fully remoteContract: W2 only, 6 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time Pay: $22/hrShift: Likely operational support (24x7 exposure preferred)Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and execute automated applications and batch processing jobsMonitor job scheduler (Control-M or similar) and respond to failed job alertsTroubleshoot common job failures using documented SOPsEscalate incidents outside defined proceduresFulfill basic customer service requests using predefined scriptsDocument incidents, requests, and resolutions in ITSM toolsExecute approved, low-risk operational changes during change windowsAdhere to change management and operational governance processesRequired Skills1+ year experience in Computer Operations or IT OperationsHands-on experience with: Control-M or similar job scheduling tools, IBM AS/400 (iSeries) environments, Jira and ConfluenceBasic understanding of ITIL / ITSM conceptsRequired EducationComputer trade school certification or Associate degree or higher in IT / Computer Science (or equivalent experience)Preferred SkillsExperience in 24x7 operations or production supportExposure to batch processing and alert monitoringFamiliarity with change management processesAbout CEI:As a trusted technology partner, CEI delivers solutions that help our customers transform their business and achieve meaningful results.
