DevSecOps Cloud Engineer – Software Engineer 3Location: Hybrid – Ridley Park, PA / Plano, TX (2 days onsite) Duration: 12 Months Contract Shift: First Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Pay: $74/hr. on W2Job Overviewseeking a highly motivated DevSecOps Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable cloud solutions across enterprise environments.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, and security integration throughout the software development lifecycle. This role focuses on enabling secure, reliable, and scalable cloud-native solutions while supporting modern DevSecOps practices across multi-cloud platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments. Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and services following security and architectural best practices. Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or equivalent tools. Implement identity and access management (IAM), zero-trust security principles, and automated compliance controls. Manage containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. Secure CI/CD pipelines with vulnerability scanning, secret management, SBOM generation, and automated patching workflows. Implement resilient deployment strategies such as blue/green deployments, canary releases, and automated rollback mechanisms. Monitor and respond to security incidents using centralized logging, alerting, and incident response processes. Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams on threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews. Improve cloud security posture using standards such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and OWASP frameworks. Document cloud architectures, operational procedures, and security practices. Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or DevSecOps roles. Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, Java, or JavaScript. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM. Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, and DevSecOps best practices. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with security frameworks including NIST, CIS, and OWASP. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CompTIA Cloud+, or CCSP. Aerospace industry experience preferred. Experience supporting government or military programs is a plus.
