GIS Mapper (On-site)

Our client is seeking a GIS Mapper to support the maintenance and analysis of utility system data within a Geographic Information System (GIS) environment. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational GIS experience who are looking to grow within a technical and operational setting.In this position, you will work with asset data related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of utility systems. You will help maintain the GIS model, perform data analysis, and support both office and limited field activities.Maintain and update the GIS connected model using data from work management systems, as-built drawings, work orders, and field reportsPerform data analysis and queries to generate reports, maps, charts, and tabulationsProduce standard prints and custom maps for field and operational requestsMaintain service point data and its relationship to source transformersTrack asset lifecycle data including history, inspections, and attachmentsResolve data discrepancies, mapping conflicts, and connectivity issues through office or limited field investigationSupport GIS updates related to projects such as facility relocations, load rearrangements, and new businessPerform manual or computer-aided draftingOperate office equipment including printers, plotters, scanners, and related toolsMaintain records and documentation related to GIS workAssist with field or office support activities as neededRequired Qualifications1–2 years of GIS experience (academic, internship, or professional)Basic understanding of GIS systems and data relationshipsProficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applicationsAbility to learn and work with internal systems and applicationsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsValid driver's license and ability to travel locally as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience with MicroStation or AutoCADExposure to utility systems or infrastructure data (electric preferred)Experience creating maps, performing spatial analysis, or working with tabular dataRecent graduates with GIS coursework or internship experience are encouraged to applyBenefits:Health InsuranceSick time401kPay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
