Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
Assist in the meal preparation process by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using proper knife skills.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality meals.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary.
Requirements
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
