As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage all facilities and maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protectionManage the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservationMaintain regulatory requirementsLead the emergency response team for all facility issuesManage property operations and engineering budgetsManage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systemsMaintain and operate equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency, and safetyEstablish and manage an effective rooms maintenance programEnsure compliance with all Facilities departmental policies, standards, and proceduresAssign and monitor daily, weekly and monthly facility projectsManage department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goalsInspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work requiredRecommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipmentSupervise the day-to-day operations of FacilitiesOversee the operation and maintenance of all interior and exterior lighting, kitchen equipment, swimming pools and equipment, ice machines, air conditioning equipment, plumbing, fire control equipment, and guest room repairsMaintain property standardsMaintain accurate logs and records as requiredAssist in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programsHelp establish priorities for total property maintenance needsEnsure ongoing communication occurs in all areas of responsibility to create awareness of business objectives, expectations, and recognition of exemplary performanceManage and conduct Human Resources activitiesSupervise employees' ability to execute departmental responsibilitiesReview employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concernsHelp ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standardsEnsure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard Operating ProceduresEnsure property policies are administered fairly and consistentlyQualifications:Prior experience in Hotel Management, Chief Engineer, or Director of Engineering in a full-service hotel or resortStrong budgetary, projections, and cost control skillsPrior experience working with Preventative Maintenance programsStrong understanding of policy, planning and strategyEssential Skills:Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using correct spelling and grammar, with guests, co-workers and management, both in person and by telephoneAbility to provide legible written communication, compute basic mathematical calculations, and utilize computer dataAbility to understand member concerns and find solutions using good judgment; maintain discretion and diplomacy while performing job duties to promote positive relations with guests, members and staff, while remaining calm, courteous and helpfulAbility to think clearly and quickly, effectively prioritize, organize and follow up within the appropriate time frameAbility to maintain confidentiality of all member informationAbility to work cohesively with other departmentsAbility to interact positively with members in person and on the phone in challenging conversationsAbility to work a flexible schedule and attend events as requestedDesirable Skills:Knowledge of Google DocsWorking Conditions:Primarily indoor shifts, but may on occasion require outdoor shifts for member-related events.This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an associate in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.Benefits & Other Compensation:This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms:Healthcare Benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageRetirement Benefits - 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older)Time Off - Paid time off (PTO) and leaves of absence, in accordance with applicable law and eligibility criteriaAdditional Compensation - Eligibility for Bonuses, Commissions, Service Charge, Employee MealsEligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company's discretion.About Troon:Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Troon is the world's largest professional club management company, that specializes in services in golf, hospitality, and residential communities.
